LIBERATION WAY IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE
“Crack the Stigma” Challenge
Be part of the movement to end addiction and you could win a trip for 4 to Walt Disney World.
August and September are two of the most important months of the year in the recovery community. International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is a global event held on August 31st each year and aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. It also acknowledges the grief felt by families and friends remembering those who have met with death or permanent injury as a result of drug overdose. Overdose Day spreads the message that the tragedy of overdose death is preventable. September is referred to as Recovery Month. All month long events are held to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders and celebrate the people who recover.
We all know someone who is or has been affected by addiction. It’s reach extend far into the family, friends, co-workers, employers. The community and economy also feel the effects of the epidemic caused by addiction.
Liberation Way would like to help end addiction and help everyone find recovery. A major challenge for those who have an addiction to drugs or alcohol is facing and overcoming stigma. Stigmas are imposed by society, communities, friends and family members and can cause major discrimination and hurt. Addiction is a disease that can be treated. We are asking you to “Crack the Stigma” and show others that they do not need to hide. Help is out there. They are supported.
In order to end this barrier to recovery, we need to break the stigma of addiction. We are challenging you to help us “Crack the Stigma.” Please accept our challenge and pass it along to your friends and family. Watch the video about why we are cracking eggs!

All proceed will be divided up to nonprofits who are working to end the stigma of addiction and support recovery efforts.
